Radiography Technician Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION: Assist the Radiography Technician in providing Radiography inspection services. This will include using, supplying or holding materials or tools and cleaning work area and equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Master processing film.
• Prepare, set-up and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Assist Technician in operation of Radiography
• Set up boundaries and surveillance of work area
• Prevent unauthorized personnel from entering work area
• Change chemicals and rinses when needed.
• Responsible for replenishing of truck supplies, as needed, to include water, ice chest, etc.
• Observe and monitor Technician to ensure proper training.
• Clean up work areas and remove debris after activities are complete.
• Organize materials in order to prepare for use.
• Maintain and promote a positive attitude toward Lead Technician and Customers.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Some previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.
• Knowledge of arithmetic and algebra
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Drug and alcohol screens performed monthly.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
• General oil field environmental conditions, on and off shore work possible.
• Working at heights or in confined spaces, around radioactive materials, heavy equipment, excessive noise, extreme heat & cold, dust, gas, fumes.
• Lifting requirement up to 50 lbs., climb ladders and walk on uneven surfaces.

Any job offer is contingent upon the successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, physical and criminal background check. All applicants must be 21 or older to be eligible. NO FELONIES AND CLEAR DRIVING RECORD are required. Ability to pass a math skills assessment. All qualified candidates for this position must be eligible to work in the United States.

SHIFT/HOURS: Shifts & Hours will vary – Must be flexible to work a lot of overtime – Travel required 50% to 75% of time. Overtime, weekends, holidays, 24 hour call outs, out-of-town assignments, long distance travel may apply.

PAY RATE: $11.00 to $15.00/hr. – Depends On Experience
